Anthony Bragalia ISN"T retiring!

A few web-sites and blogs -- UFO Mystic (for one) -- have "reported" that Tony Bragalia is leaving the UFO field -- retiring as it were from UFO research.

This is not true.

Mr. Bragalia has taken a short respite to complete another interesting and thought-provoking piece for this blog about Roswell.

We look forward to many more provocative and insightful postings from Tony Bragalia, and will present them here, as usual.

  • Are you sure???!!! The source on Anthony's retirement is Ray Stanford and if Ray said it, it's gotta be true!!!!!

  • Cute, Frank:

Tony Bragalia is far away from abandoning is exceptional UFO research, even though Ray Stanford and others would like him to.

  • Actually, I think this Socorro thing will all blow over and people will believe what they want to believe. The challenge now, for Anthony and everybody else, is finding new, compelling stuff. It is there, waiting to be discovered.

  • Curious that Tony Bragalia should be so excessively pro-ET and pro-cover-up in the Roswell case yet be so anti-ET and pro-hoax in the Socorro case. I cannot think of anyone else who holds this position.

Perhaps sometime Tony would like to give us his views on the other crash that supposedly occurred on the same day as Roswell, namely the one near Socorro! It is popularly known as the crash on the Plains of San Augustin and has a few (though probably not many) supporters, the chief one being a certain Stanton T. Friedman.

  • Anthony Bragalia responds to CDA:

    Hi CDA -

Many have pointed out what seems to be contradictory: my belief in Roswell as ET vs. my contention that Socorro was a hoax. The short answer is that every case must be weighed on its own individual merits. Because I believe in ET does not mean that I believe that many UFO sightings are of ET.

Despite what some may believe, I am a critical thinker. In fact, I recognize that most UFO sightings are of misidentified objects - or they are hoaxes.

One only needs to look at the emergence of college-kid CGI UFO hoaxes on Youtube in recent years to realize just how powerful a compulsion it is for the young to prank.

But there is no doubt a "core phenomena" which finds its solution from the stars. Socorro was simply not one of them.

PS I have done much work on the reported crash at the Plains of San Augustin. This will be reported in a future article. For now, a tease: A letter discovered last year within the Harvard Archives will prove conclusively: a famous anthropologist lied outright to researchers when asked if his archaeo-team was at the Plains the first week in July of 1947.

Barney Barnett saw something something very significant.

  • Thanks for the free publicity.

I reported it as a quote from Stanford and said I could find no evidence for your "retirement" anywhere else. Unobservant readers might come to the wrong conclusions, but they're stupid, and we don't care about them!

  • Greetings,

"A famous anthropologist LIED outright to researchers when asked if his archaeo-team was at the Plains the first week in July of 1947."

    LIED emphazed by me.

I dont think "to lie" is correct.

To ask old people with a "curious" methodology is easy to create "false memory" (E. Loftus works).

    Deliberatly or not.

If the anthropologist pointed is William Curry Holden, his own daughter pointed the "false memory" problem about Carey's interviews, as if Anderson's archéologists must be taken as serious.

Same it was with the ad hoc Bessie Brazel and Mogul n°38 confusion proposed by Carey and Schmitt IMHO, in order to eliminate her prosaic testimonies.

Best regards and sorry for my english.

  • Anthony Bragalia responds to Gilles F:

    Gilles-

No, I am not referring to Holden. Someone else entirely...

And you may be very interested to know that Bessie Brazel has recanted her previous testimony!

In a taped interview recently she has now stated that she was not at the scene of the Roswell crash. She now admits that she was confusing another event where a balloon came down on the ranch.

She tells everything she knows for the first time in the newly revised "Witness to Roswell" book by Tom Carey.

  • Greetings from France,

TY to reply, dear Anthony Bragalia.

"She now admits that she was confusing another event where a balloon came down on the ranch."

Yep, december 1947 n° 38 Mogul crash near Roswell ?

She was presented that event, and she admitted a possible confusion.

But well, she is not the only one real and direct witness to mention the pink purple symbols tape.

Never alive she changed her testimoniES...

Brazel "confused" with previous NYU balloons crashes in his ranch in his 1947 interview, dicted by Army - sic -, but mentionning that tape.

Mention which didnt serve the Ramey "conference".

What a better demonstration to present a corner deflector with that tape, in the pseudo debunking campaign ? Nothing.

Bessie was confused with a december NYU material now too.

How many NYU flights crashes to invoke to have the ET crash ???

It seems that NYU tape must be eliminated with ad hoc explanations.

Finaly, all primary witnesses mentionning that tape (must be) are elimated by investigators to have the ET craft.

Let it be to believe second hand testimonies and to have the ET spacecraft.

"No, I am not referring to Holden. Someone else entirely..."

Erf ! suspens then ^^ I wait with great attention.

    Best Regards,

    Gilles F.
