I am familiar with the book that Nick cited, and what strikes me after re-reading this account is the seeming atmospheric plasmas that occur as an natural, energetic interaction in the form os a membrane,( as an effect, not the cause of this account or others) but rather the atmospheric component acting like localized tinder when it is intersected by a enigmatic, non local geometry causing a plasma, a sheath like reaction as a circumferential effect dimensionally. This is a thread I have been doing research on plasmas so it is timely and interesting. Call it an intuitive hunch.
