Jose Caravaca bolsters his Distortion Theory

Spanish UFO researcher Jose Antonio Caravaca provides an account of a UFO landing that he suggests "confirms" his developing Distortion Theory.

  • What do we have in this incident, however, that negates the possibility of purely hallucinatory episode? Only the footprints, which would prompt me to wonder how well-documented the footprints are, and to what degree we can be certain that the footprints didn't have some mundane explanation, perhaps being caused by something which the witness's hallucinatory state embellished into a encounter with humanoids? In order to really establish the distortion (by an external agent) hypothesis, we would need multiple witness cases with extremely strong physical evidence, otherwise the temptation to see the "distortion" as purely internal to the witness is too strong,in my opinion.

    There a report of the Guardia Civil (military police) who attended the UFO landing site and verified the existence of anomalous trace. Although researchers have been unable to recover the official document. On the other hand, the content of experience, similar in detail, other close encounters
    (details of the lantern, tight outfits, illuminate the witness, etc), suggest that the witness, could not some (only) experience kind of hallucination normal .
    But I agree it would have to verify to what extent could tatar a physical meeting. Although undoubtedly linked to the UFO phenomenon.
    Also, one must keep in mind that researchers Ignacio Darnaude and Manuel Osuna were very experienced and conducted a thorough investigation.

  • This happened in September '71. The CH-47 Chinook was introduced in 1961. The Chinook does sort of look like a flying 'bus'.
