Part of the Mars rover that has broken off? You've got to be kidding!
This thing came from Zeta Reticuli 65 years ago. What happened was that the pilots of this craft got confused and after briefly touching down on Mars (and dropping a fragment of their craft) they took off again and crashed on earth, by mistake, in the NM desert.
Elementary my dear Watson (I mean my dear Rich Reynolds).
I understand both David Rudiak & Stan Friedman are in a race to publish these startling events.
I think, CDA, that the broken pieces were essential to the craft that visited Mars, and because of them (being left on Mars, inadvertently), the flying disk ended up in Roswell, disabled by the cavalier inattention of those ET critters.
The ad reads Experienced extraterrestrial interstellar craft mechanics needed. Must be familiar with the use of bondo and\ or grease guns. High school diploma required.

This resolves the Roswell mystery, doesn't it?
