Best regards,

  • That is one wonderfully researched essay on the border between extraordinarily vivid dreams and extraordinary sightings in a waking state. The paranormal aspect of this and other events is what I have been researching, and to me paranormal equates with quite a few developing theories in physics.I just wanted to extend a thank you for sharing this.

  • I agree fully, Bruce.

Chris Aubeck always provides exegetical accounts of such odd events and circumstances.

The "mental aberrations" attributed to persons who have such experiences as related in Chris's piece need a fuller airing.

(I'm not so sure that schizophrenics are not hearing actual voices or having actual visions -- not mentally constructed items from a "diseased mind.")

  • That visionary \ biochemical imbalance recalls reading RD Laing way back in the day and his theories were intriguing regarding visionary or paranormal facets to that disease. What is interesting specifically, in following other individual paranormal experiences is the studies conducted regarding predisposing psychological factors that accompany such events experienced by individuals.

  • Unique and interesting. Thanks Chris.

  • Chris first o' all I'd put money on it Birmingham's *dream* was actu'ly somethin' he saw *in* or *on* the sky [note how he was also prone t'*cloud* as opposed t'smoke *signals*] starin' at the blue or black background o' the sky bein' an ancient scryin' technique amongst other things [as Socrates'll attest] but cultural conditioning or conditions force him t'use more conventional language.

The *spirit* guidin' him reminds me o' the *Jeeves* figure I wrote about on the Daily Grail in my case the *vessel* concerned bein a *rickety ol' elevator* much too narrow for either o' us t'fit in [tho' somehow we did] but the *use* o' outdated technology to address *matters related t'the future* seems quite similiar.

"It seemed to be made of brown rubber and steel, possibly with scales like a fish."

Might I suggest Birmingham meant even though ostensibly the material was dull an' dark it had a rainbowy sheen to it.

Might I also suggest the colour brown here could be significant brown *energy* bein' quite a big deal in some circles as well as indicative of heruka activity].

Might I further suggest his description of *Jeeves* as being a neutral tint shaded form'd come out in modern cultural reference terms come as "a bit like the translucent form the alien assumes in Predator".

Birmingham's statement the figure spoke to him from somewhere just behind corresponds with me own experiences in these matters though I usually find when such interactions come from the right it's malign or even downright hostile.

The impartin' o' info seems pretty standard too though in my experience it's usu'ly great torrents o' stuff which downloads almost internet style leadin' to a great deal o' digestion an' me own case at least verification whenever possible [this's why I'm open t'the idea whatever I'm undergoin' may be down t' "a bit o' me brain gettin' loose an' settin' up shop on its own" ie possibly related t'Jaynes Bicameral mind thingy though I don't actu'ly rate Jaynes' take on its implications an' for that matter nor does me *loose bit o' brain*].

May I also point out here there're a few Loren Coleman style name coincidences goin' on here.

Parramatta's derived from a Darug Aboriginal word meanin' "headwater" amongst other things [the eel related meanin's don' half smack o' Juan Matus' *worms o' power* t'me].

But Parramatta itself smacks o' the Buddhist/Hindu concept o' Paramita which in *absolute* terms's the non conceptual based omniscience reclaimed on the way t'Buddhahood.

In *relative* terms it's the source o' the gradu'ly refined concepts which supposedly form the bridge from the apparent t'the real an' thus conceptlessness [which however doesn't mean an inability t'use concepts when dealin' with others].

    A few other coincidences.

The descent o' the ark forms a *Z*.

*Z*s're used in some circles as shorthand f'the descendin' an' ascendin' triangles formin' the Star o' David [an' all the symbolism associated with it].

*Z*s're also shorthand for flashes o' lightnin'/Baraka as well as the trajectory o' the Al Miraj ascent'n' descent o' the Prophet.

His steed Al Boraq o' course's a personification o lightning' amongs other things an' o' course yet another strangely outdated technological means o' ascendin' t'the heavens [why not somethin' more akin t'say the Cabbalstic *Chariot* o' Ezekiel or for that matter a camel?].

  • Hi Alan,

You lost me the fifth time you contracted a word with an apostrophe. Whatever you say after that I'm sure you have your reasons, but it looks like ravings and I can't be bothered to read it.
