NASA's Rover captures UFO in Mars sky?

  • The article is written by Michael E. Salla who is described as a "Honolulu Exopolitics Examiner".

Can someone please explain what an exopolitics examiner is, as I have never heard of it. It also describes him as a PhD. Presumably he got his doctorate in exopolitics (whatever that is). If not, what did he get his doctorate in?

As for the object in the film, it is obviously one of the two known satellites of Mars, which ETs have transformed into a cylindrical shape to keep us earthlings baffled.

    Clever guys these ETs.

  • Yep, it is a long exposure of Phobos. One of Salla's commenters got it.

  • "it is obviously one of the two known satellites of Mars"

Of course it is, as any rank amateur could guess. And if the numbers weren't right, then any one of the thousands of Mars-crossing asteroids would be very likely identifications. There's nothing the least bit ufoish about it, except in the mind of Salla, a known crackpot of the first order. Nothing says crackpottery these days quite like "exopolitics" -- unless it's "Roswell conspiracy."

  • Wasn't Salla the one who came out with the picture of the really tall alien in the Hawaiian shirt that Timothy Good has purloined for his latest book?

He even had a name too ... which escapes me for the moment. Something like Brad or Rock ... or Keith ...

But why do people always assume that something which shows some sort of movement is first and foremost an UFO or some such?

People never seem to go through all the options first and cross them off before going to the more far out possibilities.

There are none stranger than folk, I suppose.

  • Hello,

When you have a claim of UFO shooted by the NAVCAMS of the Rover, a good reflex is imho to see what the MASTCAMS have shooted in the "same" time. SOL 613 :

So yes, as proposed/claimed above it is one of the two Mars satellites, probably Phobos.
