Rich, thanks for showing this. Cordial and civilized discourse is still in existence for some. Frank Warren is an excellent example. Though Frank and I disagree with a lot of things UFO related, I've always been treated with respect...a true gentleman.

Yes, Tim...Frank Warren is indeed a true gentleman. There are so few these days in the UFO community. You are one.RR

I don't think that Frank playing a significant role in manufacturing an obviously phony "UFO" non-event, the BOLA "UFO" baloney, is very gentlemanly--unless juvenile-minded make-it-up mystery mongers and intentional obfuscators can be gentlemen. Broadcasting ridiculous nonsense about what everybody with good sense in Los Angeles knows was nothing but a FALSE ALARM and refusing to admit that fact is not gentlemanly in my opinion.I happen to live in San Pedro, right next to Ft MacArthur at Point Fermin which has a war museum with a display dedicated to the BOLA FALSE ALARM. That's all it ever was until some "UFO" goofballs started with the "UFO" spin on the event in the early 1990s. A better single example of a manufactured utter non-mystery there never was except for the laughable "face on Mars" maybe. And my reaction on first hearing online of the new "UFO" spin on the BOLA was exactly that of when first seeing the FOM on the cover of a magazine in a grocery-store checkout in the 1980s: LAUGHTER--at its utter ridiculousness. They're both "found" non-mysteries. Like those depictions of "helicopters" and "radio tubes" in Egyptian hieroglyphics. It's ignorant, irrational and just plain stupid! There I said it. And you might remember that when Lance Moody researched the LA Times photo and found that it was so greatly enhanced that any legitimate question about an "object" being in the searchlight beams was resolved in the negative, Frank was disingenuous and obfuscatory. IOW, he acted in such a manner that would deflect and diffuse Moody's effective debunking of what was phony from the get-go! The UNambiguous convergence of searchlight beams on our typical SoCal marine layer was still a "UFO." (How Juvenile!)Now, was that gentlemanly behavior? Forget scholarly!Again, Frank was like one AOL Astronomy board FOM believer after the 1998 HIRES MOC image showed it to be nothing but an eroded mesa: "The Face is still a Face!" LOLBeing a gentleman includes having honesty and integrity not displayed by Frank here. Clinging to proven false claims and beliefs is incongruent with personal integrity and honesty.Am I making too much of it? I think not. And BruMac had to get in on it and reaffirmed the "UFO" baloney in the original negative of course because advocates of the "UFO" never give a case--no matter what disproving evidence is presented. (And there might be a buck in for him in future! LOL) What do you say, friends?http://www.notaghost.com/2011/05/the-protocols-of-frank-warren.htmlThe Bad Skeptic

Zoam:Being a gentleman has to do with behavior, not what one thinks.I have never known Frank Warren to be anything other than civil and respectful of others, even those who excoriate his UFO belief system(s).You cause a bifurcation of what being human means; that is, one can't unite thought with action.Extreme thinking can't be seen as extreme (ungentlemanly) behavior.Your thought processes intrigue; they are often goofy, almost demented. But we still like you, as you don't behave the way you think.Otherwise you would have been straitjacketed long ago, no?RR
>> And BruMac had to get in on it and reaffirmed the "UFO" baloney in the original negative of course because advocates of the "UFO" myth never give up a case--no matter what disproving evidence is presented.<<Rich; A man is what he does; a perpetrator of a "UFO" fraud, however gentlemanly, is still a fraud.

Tim...I accidentally deleted yourComment to Zoam. Resend if you will

Rich, I didn't save it, so will let that be.My main counter-argument to Zoam was that regardless of Frank Warren's belief, it's his civil discourse and demeanor that he brings to the debate and privately via emails for that matter.Compare Warren to those such as Hastings and Rudiak...and a host of others, Frank stands well above them.I believe the crux of your post is the ability of one to engage in any debate with civility and giving the opposite side due consideration? If so then my nomination of Frank still holds...this of course is my personal assessment...nothing more, nothing less.Certainly not worth getting into a pissing contest when taking in the grand scheme of things. Each is entitled to his/hers own opinion...

Thanks Tim and forgive me....I was using my son's iPhone and the Publish Comment button was so small I inadvertently pressed the Reject button, and I wanted to make sure Zoam saw your point.Yes, Zoam disagrees with Frank, as do I about the L.A. event and Aztec scenario he espouses, but Frank always remains cordial and courteous even when bruised by stupid/rude people.Frank comes from the old-school of discussion where one can "agree to disagree" and remain pleasant, a rarity in UFO circles nowadays.RR
THis is going to be a wild card question pose on my fav sites that I follow it is indeed a serious question. And it means it may add to my research on S.E.A.L.S! as a very serious consideration & theorising what place we alone here on earth play of our current game of chess!ARE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES OF EARTH IRRELEVANT OF TIME ON EARTH, "CLASSED ALSO AS A SPECIES" EVEN THOUGH THEY MAY DISSIPATE OR DISAPPEAR, or are still here relevant in so many ways and formulations, certainly going back 50 Million years for starters?Kindest Regards Brett St John
