Jose Antonio Caravaca and Jaime Maussan "debate" the alien slides

From the radio discussion, linked below:

Jaime Maussan: He (Caravaca) says they are not grotesque , I assure you they are grotesque . It is a picture that they took and with which they wanted to base all the research. It is a figure that is not very clear , it’s something they stretched , then modified and adjusted . I say it is more like the canary Tweety from the cartoons, the one who is always against the cat and well ... it looks more like Tweety than reality.
Jose Antonio Caravaca: B...ut, Mr. Maussan, Adam Dew himself, who is serving as a bridge between the current owner of the slides and the researchers conducting the investigation, has assured that there are specialists who have doubts that it may be a mummy.
Jaime Maussan: Adam Dew is not an expert, that first. We do not know, I mean, he does not know if the creature is in the process of mummification or not, because he has no image. Trying to be based on what someone said or not said is absolutely irrelevant. We’re talking about the evidence and we will present the facts to the world.

  • Hello:

Dont forget as "breacking news" regarding the Roswell Saga and the Roswell myth, that now it comes... J.J. Hurtak in "a Scientist have to say" role and "we have contacted scientists and experts".

    Where is Brien Foerster??

As I often "state", when a so-called scientist/guy claims / proposes / calls for a "scientific paradigm shift" HIMSELF, it is highly suspect, a sort of red-flag he/she auto-admits by lapsus to be a fringe and crank...

  • Neither Sylvester nor Tweety....but in the end will be the Speedy Gonzalez(es) who will cash and run....and run...and run very fast....

  • I heard it.
It was not a full debate, due to that the interviewers were Argentinian, located in Argentina and Maussan was speaking from Mexico and Caravaca from Spain, all of which implied difficult communications.

At the beginning Maussan was somewhat annoyed due to sound problems in the communication, which caused Caravaca to interrupt Maussan when speaking.

Caravaca complained that Adam Dew have said that some experts expressed doubts regarding the being in the slide was a mummy, among other things,(I personally don’t really see why such statements by Dew can be so catastrophic to the slides (doubts have two edges))

At any rate, Caravaca emphasized about three times that his theory of a mummy was a conjecture, a possible explanation.

Maussan complained that the analysis made by Caravaca et al of the image that was extracted from the slides documentary trailer was absurd. Maussan said that the extracted image was very unclear and distorted, making the entity in the image to look like the Tweety canary.

    Other points made were:

Maussan said that there were many anomalies found in the body of the being as compared to a human (More than 30 differences if I am recalling well).

Maussan said that they the economical returns of the event were thought mostly to cover the expenses of the shows itself, which was/is going to be high tech, and to cover the expenses of travels and experts work, etc.

Maussan clarified that even that admittedly the slides could not possibly be tied with full certainty to the Roswell case, it still was the most likely explanation.

  • I'm intrigued that so many not involved such as Mitchell, Rosin, Dolan And Hurtak are appearing while Bragalia who has done so much to bring the story together will not participate.

In any case it was strange for Maussan to denigrate Adam Dew, without whom none of this would be possible.

  • Curt,

I think you are exaggerating a little bit. Saying that someone is not an expert does not constitute denigration. It seemed to me like a reply made more in a hurry, in the middle of a conversation with difficulties to follow due to sound problems, rather than a comment with the intention of “denigrating”.

  • Curt-

Jamie did not 'denigrate' Adam...they get along just fine. Don makes the point well.

And I was of course invited, but will not be attending because I do not do 'appearances' of any kind that do not relate to my professional life.

There are indeed many, many differences between a human/mummy and the humanoid depicted in the slides, perhaps even 30 that anthropologists and forensic specialists have noted. All of these will be detailed at the presentation.

  • "And I was of course invited, but will not be attending because I do not do 'appearances' of any kind that do not relate to my professional life".

By this I assume Tony Bragalia never makes appearances in public forums or on TV or maybe even on radio when UFOs are the subject. Presumably he never partakes in press interviews on UFOs either, nor in debates with skeptics.

This is a strange attitude for anyone so immersed in the subject to take, particularly for someone so besotted with Roswell (and, presumably, other famous cases).

I would say that it cannot do his public image as a ufologist any good, but if that is the way he wants it, then so be it.

  • "These things have charm for children but lack all substance, the mind knows grown adult."

First, Tony is welcomed to his beliefs and all the "sliders" are welcomed to their fun and money making in Mexico City on Cinco de Mayo. But otherwise, I couldn't care less about this blatantly phony "slides" baloney.

    Now, Tony writes:

"There are indeed many, many differences between a human/mummy and the humanoid depicted in the slides, perhaps even 30 that anthropologists and forensic specialists have noted. All of these will be detailed at the presentation."

Oh, Please, Tony! Why do you write such ridiculous things?

We all already know the sorry story; any rational person knows that anything that looks so much like a mundane mummified child cannot be anything extraordinary, and it's certainly not the remains of an ET, so why do you maintain the pretense? Why not just admit that it's all a fraud to make money? It's not as if anyone with good sense believes this "Roswell ET body on slides" nonsense.

Outside of the science-fiction infused flying-saucer myth -- which has absolutely nothing to do with any hypothetical ET -- astrobiologists and related theorists consider the idea of ET as humanoid so utterly remote and implausible that it's laughable. So the idea that some pseudoscientific goofballs are going to present the slides and point to 30 differences between it and a human and so conclude that it is or even "might be" an ET is the lowest, logically challenged, most embarrassingly ignorant and stupid sort of carnival sideshow pseudoscience imaginable.

But it's typical Maussan, Mexico's "UFO" showman, who is known for hiring others to hoax "UFO" videos. No, make that Mexico's "UFO" clown, whose entire career is built on one laughably trashy "UFO" hoax after another. He's a complete fraud with a particularly sordid past, as RM reminds us.

Which astrobiologists and related theorists are you talking about zoamy?
