Richard Dolan and Don Schmitt on the May 5th Kodachrome slides and event (from Jose Caravaca)

Dolan:

"I have been in Mexico City for the past day, meeting with Jaime Maussan, Tom Carey, and Adam Dew. Don Schmitt will arrive soon. I was able to see directly the two so-called Roswell slides. In addition, I became further acquainted with several fairly detailed analyses of them by technically proficient professionals. All of this has made me glad that I have decided to participate in the event this coming Tuesday. My opinion is that these slides are compelling. There will always be the possibility or glimmer of uncertainty about them, no question about it. But when you put the entire story together about these slides, and when everyone has the opportunity to look at them and examine them in detail after Tuesday, my feeling is that they will not easily be debunked. Not legitimately, anyway. My feeling at this point is that these slides will be here to stay."

Here's what Don Schmitt said:
"Can we prove it’s an alien? Well, a picture unfortunately can’t do that. We don’t have the DNA, we don’t have a tissue sample. We can’t do that. But, for those who are open-minded, objective in their reasoning as to if they can accept that we are not alone, that we are being visited, there had to have been pictures taken, there had to have been people who were availed an opportunity to see what was recovered, and possibly at Roswell in 1947. And we’re not going to be the group of individuals who always live by the model anything but extraterrestrial, anything but ET.”

  • When was Mr Dolans comment made? I ask because I would have expected him to have seen the slides and evidence long ago before signing up for the event.

  • Schmitt had me going there for a moment.

    > "Can we prove it’s an alien? Well, a picture unfortunately can’t do that."

That was completely valid and sane! But then:

    > "But, for those who are open-minded, objective in their reasoning...to see what was recovered, and possibly at Roswell in 1947."

With "open-minded" used to mean "presuppose the very thing we're trying to prove."

And here's Adam Dew presumably asking experts to ID the figure in the slides. Hope he's got better than this on May 5.

  • Why does Don say only "possibly at Roswell"? Is this his way of saying "probably not at Roswell"?

I thought the whole essence of these slides was that they were, with virtual certainty, taken at Roswell.

    Some difference!

And yes, he is right. Without the actual bodies, nothing whatever can be proved, and the whole exercise becomes pointless.

    No shit...

  • Logic, folks.

IF it is proven unequivocally that these slides were exposed in 1947, then several logical questions arise:

The slides show either a non- human biological entity or a very well made prop designed to look like one. Those are the only plausible explanations.

It is very hard to imagine how or why there could be a prop made in 1947 depicting a type of "humanoid" that would not be depicted or described otherwise for another 20-30 years, and which also matchers exactly the recollection of the Roswell security guard who claims to have seen the creatures after the crash.

That is very powerful circumstantial evidence that this is a photo of a real being.

The other details in the photos may give clues as to its provenance.

  • Imagine someone who never knew you or knew of you finding a 50 year old box of unlabeled slides in your attic after you died, then passing it on to a series of random people, one of whom decides that only did those slides belong to you, but that he can completely recreate your life history from those slides. What a joke.

  • JUSTICE, it can't be proven when the film was manufactured, exposed or developed.
