I don't understand all the hubub over Hillary promising disclosure. She hasn't shared what she said in those paid Wall Street speeches with America, why would the intractable problem of UFOs be any different? An aside, Hillary did say she'll show us the speeches when her opponents reveal their speeches to Wall Street. Neither Trump nor Sanders have spoken to Wall Street, so she should come clean. Linky: http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/290307/conditions-met-hillary-clinton-release-wall-street-speeches/

MrA:Aren't there more pressing issues for the (new) President, than UFOs, despite the ETHers thinking otherwise?RR

It's bordering on tawdry when important politicians make these vows. She's probably looking for the single-issue voters who wouldn't ordinarily bother to vote at all. That's a sad indictment on both when she's happy to count the votes of those who aren't actually interested in any of her values. She'd get more traction saying she'd launch an expedition to bring the Ark of the Covenant "back home." At least she'd attract some of those right-leaning WASPs away from the GOP.

Rich,There was something I saw the other day about a fellow by the name of Christopher Mellon who is an "ex-black projects" wonk. He does not believe that a president would find anything to disclose "because they don't have a need to know." He had a need to know and claims never to have seen or heard anything that would indicate there is a government cover-up BUT what he did say something very interesting that plays into your Socorro / Hughes scenario:"I find it hard to imagine something as explosive as recovered alien technology remaining under wraps for decades. So while I have no reason to believe there is any recovered alien technology, I will say this: If it were me, and I were trying to bury it deep, I’d take it outside government oversight entirely and place it in a compartment as a new entity within an existing defense company and manage it as what we call an “IRAD” or “Independent Research and Development Activity.”If you haven't read it, a full interview with Mellon is here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/leslie-kean/is-there-a-ufo-coverup-a-_b_9865184.htmlIt makes for an interesting read... if it isn't disinformation

It is invariably the US pre-election fever that sets off these 'going to reveal' promises. It only seems to happen in the US. Has anyone ever heard of any other country who, facing an election, has the candidates (or one of them) announcing to the public that they are going to, finally, get the secret UFO files released and the truth out? It has never happened in the UK or anywhere in Europe as far as I know. What about the rest of the world? Or is this 'going to reveal' purely a US phenomenon?

cda asked:"It has never happened in the UK or anywhere in Europe as far as I know. What about the rest of the world? Neither it ever happened in the US. There is always a first time for things. This is a strange world, is not it?

This isn’t about votes or pandering to some special interest group. What special interest group? UFO true believers? They’re out there, but not in numbers worthy of a presidential candidate risking ridicule. So why hasn’t she been ridiculed? Trump certainly would be. And then there’s Podesta and Panetta. Again, why risk ridicule? And why has there been so little? No, there’s something else going on here. I don’t think we really know what it is. It may not even have anything to do with UFOs. Calling Nick Redfern . . .
